It finally time to break out the sandals in NYC, so I went hunting for some everyday options. I found a bunch that were too good not to share, so let’s go sandals shopping together.

These are both from Alohas, a brand that I associate with sneakers (so I’m betting these will be comfortable?). I love the hardware on both, especially the ring on the one that ties around the ankle. The studs on the other sandal, which sells for $210, reminds me of this Khaite sandal that’s currently on sale for over $1200. 👀
This Madewell pair also has chic hardware and, if you aren’t feeling them in black, it also comes in this season’s hot color, butter yellow, as well as cognac suede.

I try to be careful about which trends I hop onto, but fisherman sandals are chic even when they aren’t the hot thing. I love a classic version in a non-classic color like the cherry pair from Ancient Greek Sandals, and Freda Salvador makes their version in tons of colors and styles: with studs, with grommets, in raffia, patterned, and more.

Animal prints are always in, if you ask me, so I’m loving both of these sandals. The leopard Flat Sandals from Margaux also come in other (solid) colors, as well as python. The snake-print Edna Sandal by A•Emery comes in other colors, too, though not leopard.

Speaking of A•Emery, I’m loving so many of their styles! These range from $160-220 and each style comes in a range of colors.
Ancient Greek Sandals is a go-to brand for high quality, strappy, minimalist sandals. I find them to be a bit pricier, but the quality is great (they are handmade by craftspeople in Greece). I’m partial to this pair studded with Swarovski crystals, which also come in beige.

Is it a proper sandals-for-women-over-40 list if there are no Birks? I’m dying for the St. Barths, which seems to be very nearly sold out in all colors. I found the berry crush color in one size, the beige in one size, and the black in a few sizes, all from different places. I link to all of them because, if you’re lucky enough for any of the colors to be available in your size, you should grab them immediately! I also love the studded Arizona which gives major Isabel Marant and Chloe vibes at a fraction of the price. I’m into this rust color, but a few places also have Taupe available.

Jenni Kayne is always a little more expensive than I expect it to be, but I find the quality worth it. The seemingly Birkenstock-inspired Hutton slide comes in colors other than black. I love that the Nina sandal has a slightly thicker wrap than most other gladiator sandals. And the slim lines and braiding detail of the Mila sandal make it my favorite.
You’ll read that clogs are in, but baby, they’re always in if you ask me, and these Dr. Scholl’s are forever a classic. I’m partial to this crackly silver version, but you know there are other colors to choose from.
Have a favorite pair? I’m still perusing, so leave a comment and show me the pair you’re eyeing or buying!
